The Registered Nurse will work in a dynamic environment and may float to the Pediatric Emergency Department to assist with general pediatric patients boarding in the ED. Unit Details Patient Types: Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, Medical-Surgical, and various Pediatric specialties Floating: Possible across NICU, general floor, and PICU Nurse-Patient Ratios: 1:2 to 1:4 Bed Size: 14 Qualifications Minimum of 24 months of Pediatric and/or Oncology nursing experience required Previous Pediatric experience within the last 18 months required Experience in Hematology/Oncology required Willingness to float to the ED to care for inpatient holds is essential Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC, within the last 12 months required Completion of at least one travel contract within the past 18 months is required Certification with the Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses required Licensing and Certification Requirements Active Iowa nursing license or a compact multistate nursing license required BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA required PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification from AHA required APHON certification required Orientation Dates November 23 December 7 December 21 Modern Healthcare Solutions Job ID #38334614.
