Pediatric Clinic Nursing position in San Antonio, Texas. This role involves providing general nursing care to pediatric patients in a clinic setting, with a focus on rheumatology. The position requires experience with electronic health records and insurance authorization processes.

Schedule

• 8-hour day shifts
• 5 days per week, minimum 40 hours weekly

Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care according to the American Nurses Association (ANA) Scope and Standards of Practice, including patient assessments, medication administration, education, and documentation.
• Address patient safety and follow clinical policies, leveraging critical thinking to meet individual patient needs.
• Assist in following clinical procedures, maintaining documentation, and managing patient flow.
• Ensure safety standards and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Educate patients about home medical equipment and process medical orders accurately.

Requirements

• Graduation from a registered nursing program; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Completion of a Nurse Residency Program.
• Six to twelve months of clinical patient care experience in a relevant setting.
• RN licensure in good standing in Texas or a compact state.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EPIC electronic health record systems.
