In this role, you will deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with complex medical conditions, heart disorders, post-cardiac procedures, arrhythmias, and heart failure requiring continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide high-level nursing care and life-saving interventions for PCU/Stepdown patients ranging from initial assessment through end-of-life care.Monitor telemetry continuously and accurately interpret complex ECG rhythms.Execute intense clinical interventions for patients recovering from surgery or suffering from acute, life-threatening conditions.Maintain complete and accurate patient documentation in accordance with LA County DHS standards.Qualifications & RequirementsExperience: Minimum 2 years of recent PCU / Stepdown / Telemetry experience in a Level I Trauma, metropolitan teaching facility serving a diverse patient population.Licensure: Active California RN License in good standing.Certifications Required:AHA BLSNIHSS CertificationManagement of Aggressive Behavior (MAB) or CPILA City Fire and Life Safety Card (must be LA City certified)Clearance & Onboarding:Must complete LA County Employee Health Clearance prior to start date.Onboarding Requirement: Must arrive in LA on Sunday prior to orientation to complete Live Scan fingerprinting at Harbor HR on Monday.Commitment: Fully committed to completing the 8-week contract duration.Benefits & Perks (NuWest)Comprehensive Healthcare: Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance coverage starting day one.Financial & Retirement: Weekly direct deposit and 401(k) retirement options.Telehealth & Wellness: Free 24/7 virtual telehealth services.Perks & Support: Pet insurance options via Trupanion and dedicated 24/7 support from a recruiter, HR, and payroll representative.
