Travel PCU RN - Open Heart Progressive Care - $1,862 per week

About the role

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Charleston, West Virginia. The assignment is a 13‑week travel contract starting 11/12/2026, requiring 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients requiring cardiac care and administer medications appropriately.
• Provide assistance with chest tube insertion, management, and removal.
• Utilize central line experience effectively in patient care.
• Manage and monitor external/internal pacemakers and wound vacs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan effective patient care.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures while floating within the scope as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a progressive care setting.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association.
• Valid West Virginia RN license (compact license accepted).
• Experience with critical drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Insulin, Heparin, Nitroglycerin, Dopamine, and Argatroban is preferred.

Schedule
