Scheduling requirements

• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted
• Local Candidates: RN's within 75 miles are not accepted

Required licenses and certifications

• Active New York Single State RN license (New York is not Compact)
• ACLS
• BLS
• NIHSS - Valid NIHSS certification required at the time of submission

Clinical skills required

• Telemetry and step-down level care (PCU/DOU/IMC)
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response; interpretation and management of dysrhythmias; involvement with Rapid Response/Code teams
• Nasal cannula and oxygen administration; non-invasive airway management
• Management of cardiac drips (no titration); blood product administration
• Central and peripheral line care/management
• IV therapy/phlebotomy; adherence to isolation precautions

Unit details

• Patient Ratios: 1:4-5 for adults and geriatrics
• Patient Diagnoses: Long-term pulmonary patients, ENT surgery, surgical procedures requiring step-down level of care
• Scrub Color: Any combination of navy blue and white
• Floating: Required to float within skillset

Call off policy

The facility may cancel (call off) up to three shifts during a 13-week contract period without incurring charges for the canceled hours.

Charting experience

EPIC experience is required.
