This role involves caring for patients with various diagnoses, including neurological, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions. Unit Information Unit: Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Common Diagnoses: Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, Respiratory issues such as COPD, DKA, Sepsis, Myocardial Infarction (MI), CV stepdown, and post-operative care. Patient Demographics: Adults aged 18 and older Number of Beds: 64 beds, including 15 designated Neuro beds Specialty Equipment: Temp pacer, chest tubes, A lines, BiPAP, Neptune Vapo Ventilator Support: Chronic ventilators - unable to wean, with Respiratory Therapy assistance available.
