About the role

Travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit position in Richmond, Virginia. Start date: October 12, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Employment type: Travel. 36 hours per week, 12‑hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients who require close monitoring but are not unstable enough for ICU care.
• Utilize computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital signs, detect changes, and enable intervention for life‑threatening or emergency situations.
• Administer and titrate complex medications based on patient vital signs.
• Provide care in PCU/step‑down settings, which may include cardiac, medical, neuro, surgical, or ER holding units.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum eighteen months of recent experience in an acute care PCU/step‑down setting.
• Additional requirements may be specified by the client facility.
