Travel PCU RN - $2,069 per week

Junxion Med Staffing is seeking a PCU/Stepdown RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Lima, Ohio, starting September 10, 2026.

About the role

This position is for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) travel nursing assignment lasting 13 weeks. The role requires 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-operative care for open-heart patients
• Manage chest tubes and other drains
• Deliver pre- and post-procedure care for patients with radial and femoral access
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, responding to changes as needed
• Assist with chest tube removal and pericardial pacing wire removal
• Manage temporary pacers, including pericardial and transcutaneous devices
• Use and troubleshoot non-invasive ventilation (NIV) devices, high-flow oxygen, and other oxygen delivery systems
• Float to other units within your skill level as required

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in PCU or related field
• Experience with critical care (highly preferred)
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythm strips
• Advanced knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary abnormalities
• Active American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
• Active Ohio or Compact RN License (verified through Nursys)
• Skills checklist pertinent to PCU, current within the last year

Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call duty
