About the Role
This position requires a Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care for patients in a post-operative open heart setting, ensuring adherence to the health system's mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using age-specific criteria.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Provide pre- and post-procedure care for patients with radial and femoral access.
- Manage chest tubes and other drains, including removal and troubleshooting.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythm strips, responding to changes in cardiac rhythms.
- Assist with the management of temporary pacers and non-invasive ventilation devices.
- Float to all units within skill level as required.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in nursing is required.
- Post-operative open heart care experience is essential.
- Critical care experience is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in cardiac monitoring is required.
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Active American Heart Association ACLS certification.
- Current Ohio RN license or Compact RN license is required.
Schedule
This is a 12-hour day shift position with a 36-hour guarantee.

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
