About the role

The Cardiac RN will provide care to patients on the cardiac floor, ensuring they receive high-quality and compassionate treatment. This is a 13-week contract position with a night shift schedule of 3x12 hours (18:45 - 07:15).

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac telemetry and manage patient care in a stepdown unit.
• Perform sheath removal and manage dysrhythmias.
• Provide post-operative care for various cardiac procedures.
• Administer and manage cardiac drips (with and without titration).
• Utilize non-invasive airway management as needed.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience on the cardiac floor is required.
• Traveler experience preferred unless more than 24 months of cardiac experience is demonstrated.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are mandatory.
• Preferred skills: Arterial line management, wound care experience, and charge nurse experience.
