About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Inpatient Overflow Unit. The unit consists of 20 beds and caters to a mixed level of care for medical-surgical and step-down patients with a short stay target of 24 hours. The role requires providing telemetry monitoring and adhering to protocols set forth in the unit's guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Participate in patient care and telemetry monitoring.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Manage a patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6, depending on the level of care.
- Provide support to patients and families during their stay.
Requirements
- Must have telemetry competency and progressive care experience.
- BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- Recent experience in a progressive care setting is preferred.
- Ability to float to other units as needed.
