Thrive Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Hermitage, Tennessee.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: PCU - Progressive Care UnitDiscipline: RNStart Date: 10/19/2026Duration: 13 weeks36 hours per weekShift: 12 hours, nightsEmployment Type: TravelTravel Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU Location City, State: [City], [State] Unit Information Unit Name: PCU Number of Beds: 630 (34 beds), 633 (25 beds) Patient Ratios: 1:4 to 1:5 on days, 1:5 to 1:6 on nights Staffing: 3 techs when full on unit 630, 2 techs when full on unit 633 Type of Equipment: Bipaps, high flow oxygen, Vapotherm, Alaris pumps, cardiac drips, heparin drips, insulin drips, peritoneal dialysis, wound vacs (in conjunction with wound care) Documentation System: Meditech Schedule Requirements 3 shifts of 12 hours per week Every other weekend requirement for contract Floating policy may require movement between PCU units or med-surg floors Patient Experience Requirements Hourly rounding on days Every 2-hour rounding on nights Utilization of AIDET and management of communication boards Required Qualifications Certifications: BLS, ACLS Critical thinking skills EKG rhythm interpretation Experience with cardiac drip, insulin drip, and heparin drip Experience with peritoneal dialysis (preferred) Peripheral IV skills Advanced Skills Needed Experience with bipaps and various oxygen delivery systems Experience in stroke and post-cardiac catheterization care Experience with tube feedings and NG/Dobhoff tubes Procedures Performed on Unit Peritoneal dialysis Thoracentesis Paracentesis Chest tube insertions Dobhoff/NG tube insertions Central line dressing changes Troubleshooting wound vacs Dress Code Required Uniform: Black Scrubs Awards & Recognition Information about department achievements and recognition can be included to attract prospective candidates.
