Travel PCU RN - $1,743 per week

About the Role

AMN Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Gastonia, North Carolina. This position places you in a collaborative Progressive Care Unit at CaroMont Regional Medical Center, where you care for patients needing continuous monitoring and advanced therapies.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients requiring telemetry, oxygen therapy, non-invasive ventilation, or advanced pharmacological support
• Deliver patient-centered care focused on safety and high-quality outcomes
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals in a team-oriented environment
• Utilize cardiac and respiratory monitoring skills
• Adapt to varying patient needs in the progressive care setting

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (Compact accepted)
• At least one year of recent PCU or step-down experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• SSN and DOB required for submission
• One reference from entire work history

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Strong skills in cardiac and respiratory monitoring
• Adaptability and effective communication skills

Pay

Pay rate: $1699.00 - $1786.00 per week, based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

12-hour shifts, evenings and nights. Duration: 13 weeks. Start date: 9/8/2026.
