Travel PCU RN - $1,597 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The assignment is 13 weeks, 36 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.
• Stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean and stoop without difficulty; lift up to 20 pounds routinely and up to 50 pounds when moving patients.
• Cope with stress in a fast‑paced environment and relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• 1‑2 years recent acute care experience.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications (additional certifications may be required before assignment).
