Travel PCU Registered Nurse - $2,798 per week

Junxion Med Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for a 12-week assignment in Lafayette, Indiana, starting on August 11, 2026.

About the Role

This position is for a PCU/Stepdown RN in a Progressive Care Unit. The assignment lasts 12.14 weeks with a 12-hour night shift and a total of 48 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Manage telemetry, IV starts, cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Operate BiPAP and high flow oxygen equipment
• Provide central line care/management
• Interpret dysrhythmias
• Deliver pre/post cardiac catheterization care
• Administer blood products and follow heparin/IV insulin protocols
• Titrate insulin drips
• Provide tracheostomy care/management
• Utilize rapid response/code teams
• Care for post-Watchman and ablation patients
• Post cardiac angiogram care
• Float within scope to meet facility needs
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months of experience in a relevant role
• Current in-state RN license (must be in hand prior to start date; temporary licenses may be obtainable)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS (NIH Stroke Scale preferred)
• Experience with Level I, II, III, or IV trauma centers
• Charge Nurse experience preferred
• Conscious sedation experience preferred
• Proficiency in Cerner charting system preferred
• SSN and DOB required at time of submittal
• Two supervisor references required
• Graduation from an accredited university (ACEN or CCNE)

Note: Indiana residents are not accepted for MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, and ER positions.

Pay

Estimated weekly pay includes projected hourly wages and weekly meal and lodging per diems for eligible clinicians based on nationally published GSA rates. Actual weekly pay and per diems may differ and are subject to change during an assignment.
