About the role
Travel nursing position for a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Plattsburgh, New York.
Specialty and Shift
- Specialty: PCU – Progressive Care Unit
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.)
- Schedule: Every other weekend required
Duration
- Assignment length: 13 weeks
- Hours per week: 36
- Start date: September 3, 2026
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and responses to treatment.
- Administer medications and manage IV therapies, including insulin and cardiac drips.
- Perform assessments, interventions, and chart relevant data in the electronic medical record (EPIC).
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding care plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in a PCU or Telemetry setting.
- Active RN license.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- NIHSS certification required prior to start.
- Experience with EPIC documentation system within the past 2 years is mandatory.
