Travel PCU Registered Nurse - $2,236 per week

Junxion Med Staffing is seeking a PCU - Progressive Care Unit RN for a travel nursing assignment in Kansas City, Missouri.

About the role

This 13-week travel assignment starts on August 31, 2026, with a 12-hour night shift and 36 hours worked per week.

Responsibilities

• Interpretation of dysrhythmias and telemetry monitoring on the unit
• IV insulin protocols and heparin protocols
• Blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, and starting IVs
• PCA administration and chest tube management (Emerson/Pleur-evac)
• Oxygen face masks and non-invasive airway management
• Isolation precautions and wound care/wound vac

Requirements

• Active RN license in Missouri or a compact state
• 2 years of PCU/Stepdown experience
• BLS and NIHSS certifications
• Experience with trauma level I facilities
• Experience with a 5:1 patient ratio
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Home address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
• No pending licenses accepted

Preferred Skills

• Cardiac telemetry and ER holding experience
• Management of dysrhythmias and use of rapid response teams
• Feeding tube care and management
• Renal failure, CVA, orthopedic trauma, and total joint replacement experience
• Surgical drain management and tracheostomy management
• Previous charge experience

Pay

Estimated weekly pay includes projected hourly wages and weekly meal and lodging per diems for eligible clinicians based on nationally published GSA rates. Actual weekly pay and per diems may differ and may be subject to change during an assignment.
