Travel PCU Registered Nurse - $2,176 per week

About the role

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a 13-week assignment in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients in a cardiac progressive care unit setting.
• Document patient care using Meditech-HCA version.
• Manage medications including Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Amiodarone drips.
• Perform procedures such as chest tube management and wound vac management.
• Administer EKGs as needed.
• Participate in bedside rounding and hourly rounding with 5P’s checked.
• Monitor and report on patient needs to PCT’s and check the glass board for departmental focus areas.
• Utilize scrolling video kiosks and email for updates.

Requirements

• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• National Institute for Healthcare and Clinical Excellence (NIHHE) certification required.
• Knowledge of Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Amiodarone drips.
• Experience with chest tube management and wound vac management.
• Ability to perform EKGs as needed.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Minimum of one year of progressive care unit experience preferred.
• Cardiac knowledge preferred.

Skills
