Travel PCU Registered Nurse - $2,079 per week

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Neuro Stepdown unit. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in neuro stepdown nursing, with experience in monitoring and caring for patients after neurological surgery or treatment. This position involves critical thinking and the ability to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to neuro patients post-surgery
• Maintain patient conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Utilize EPIC for documentation and patient management
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in neuro stepdown nursing
• NIHSS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Strong candidates with med/surg experience will be considered if they have NIHSS and some stepdown experience
• Valid RN license required
• Experience with EPIC documentation system

Pay & Schedule

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. This is a night shift position with a 12-hour schedule, working three shifts a week. Weekend availability is required.
