Job Details
RN for Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
All patients on bedside cardiac monitors.
Typically 1:4 RN to patient ratios.
36 hours weekly, every other weekend and one major holiday per contract.
Job Requirements
- Must have current nursing license verified within 30 days prior to start.
- Completion of Ascension Specialty Exam prior to first assignment and updated every 3 years thereafter with minimum 80% passing score.
- Completion of Ascension Pharmacology Exam prior to start and updated every 3 years with minimum 80% score.
- Completion of Ascension Medical Surgical Exam prior to start and updated every 3 years with minimum 80% score.
- Completion of Ascension Core Competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics within a year of start and updated every 3 years.
- Completion of Ascension EKG Exam with passing score of at least 80%, updated every 3 years.
- Completion of Ascension Skills Checklist within one year of start and updated annually for specialty.
- Must provide documented proof of immunizations and health screenings including MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza vaccine (optional), Fit Test, 2 Step PPD or IGRA, Positive PPD with negative chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire, Health Statement of good health or physical exam prior to first assignment and updated annually.
Schedule Information
- Shift: 19:00 - 07:30 (Night shift).
- 36 hours weekly.
- Every other weekend and one major holiday per contract.
Unit Specific Information
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with 1:4 nurse to patient ratio.

Additional Details
- Signed Assignment Agreement required for onboarding.
- Ascension Resume required for submission.
- Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start.
- Licence/Certificate verification required within 30 days prior to start.
- Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation must be completed.
- Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding done onsite.
- Ascension Badge Photo required (forward facing headshot with white or blue background).
- Ascension Criminal Background Check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and others completed within 90 days of first assignment and updated annually.
- Ascension EPLS run within 90 days of start and rerun if break in service >90 days.
- Ascension Profile and 2 Professional References required prior to first assignment.
- Ascension Employment Verification for past seven years required and updated annually.
- Ascension Confirmation of Assignment required upon initial assignment and each extension.
