VyTalent Solutions is seeking a travel nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) assignment in Asheville, North Carolina.

About the Role

This is a 13-week travel nursing contract at a hospital in Asheville, NC. The role supports a fast-paced Clinical Decision Unit and may require floating to other units within the RN’s skill set.

Schedule

  • 12-hour shifts: 06:45 AM – 07:15 PM
  • 36 hours per week
  • Start date: 08/10/2026
  • Local and traveler candidates welcome

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care in a Clinical Decision Unit, including admission assessments, medication reconciliation, and initiating acute care orders
  • Float to other units as needed
  • Support ED decompression by facilitating efficient patient throughput
  • Enhance patient and family experience
  • Document patient information using Cerner system
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, including dress code and safety procedures
  • Perform minimal bedside procedures and take on charge nurse responsibilities when applicable
  • Adhere to unit-specific guidelines and policies
  • Demonstrate teamwork and a positive attitude in a dynamic environment with diverse patient diagnoses
