Travel PCU / Med Surg Telemetry RN - $2,220 per week

About the role

Travel nurse RN position in Newport, Vermont for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU). Assignment length: 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour night shifts. Immediate opening; candidates should have 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication; report any adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust specialized patient equipment; interpret and record electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.
• Stand and walk for extended periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; patient moving/lifting may require up to 50 pounds.
• Cope with stress in a fast‑paced environment and relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• 5 years of relevant experience (as noted in the posting)
• 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience
