About the role
MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Omaha, Nebraska.
Responsibilities
- Care for critically or chronically ill cancer patients
- Administer chemotherapy
- Implement new methods of symptom treatment
- Maintain patient progress monitoring
- Create a supportive environment for cancer patients
- Specialize in areas such as pediatric hematology/oncology or breast cancer
- Manage patients from post-surgical to near-terminal
- Educate cancer patients about treatment options, procedures, and particularities of the disease
Requirements
- Active RN License
- BLS & ACLS Certifications
- Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Oncology setting
Qualifications
- Preferred degree from an accredited nursing program
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of oncology nursing practices and protocols

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation).
Schedule
