About the role
MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Float Med Surg for a travel nursing assignment in Olympia, Washington. The position is a PCU/Step‑down (Progressive Care) nurse role with a focus on patients who require close monitoring but are not unstable enough for ICU care.

Requirements
- Active RN license
- Degree from an accredited nursing program
- BLS & ACLS certifications
- At least 18 months recent experience in an Acute Care PCU/Step‑down setting
- Other requirements as determined by the client facility
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients who are not unstable enough to need ICU care.
- Utilize computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital information and detect changes.
- Provide timely intervention for life‑threatening or emergency situations.
- Administer and titrate complex medications based on patient vital signs.
- Deliver care in a PCU/step‑down environment, which may include cardiac, medical, neuro, surgical, or ER‑holding units.

Pay
Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined. Weekly payment estimates include gross hourly wages and reimbursements for meals, incidentals, and housing expenses.
