Job Summary

The Pathology Assistant position in Edison, New Jersey involves supporting the pathologist with surgical specimen processing, gross description, tissue preparation, and related duties in an anatomic pathology setting. The role includes assisting with intraoperative consultations, specimen photography, and equipment maintenance.

Job Details

• Minimum 10 years of experience in pathology or related biological discipline.
• Bachelor's degree from a NAACLS accredited institution as a pathologists assistant with didactic and clinical training in anatomic pathology, specifically surgical and autopsy pathology.
• Bachelor's degree must be in Health Sciences or other biological discipline.
• ASCP certification as an on-the-job trained Pathologists Assistant in a hospital laboratory performing technical duties related to anatomic pathology, with documented competencies in processing specimens.

Schedule

8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, starting on 08/10/2026. The position is scheduled for evenings as needed, with no weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities. The role involves lifting a minimum of 30 lbs., standing for at least 5 hours daily, and performing various specimen processing and classroom support tasks as directed.
