Travel Pathologists' Assistant - $3,608 per week

About the role

Travel Pathologists' Assistant position in Morgantown, West Virginia. This is a 13‑week travel assignment starting 11/02/2026, 40 hours per week on 8‑hour day shifts. The role is based in the Anatomic Pathology Gross Room and focuses on grossing simple and complex tissue specimens; it is not a generalist position and does not require phlebotomy.

Requirements

• ASCP Certification as a Pathologists' Assistant (required)
• Completion of a Pathologists' Assistant program (preferred)
• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the specialty
• Experience in an academic medical center (preferred)
• Experience with Epic Beaker AP and voice recognition software (preferred)
• BLS certification is not required

Responsibilities

• Gross simple and complex tissue specimens
• Process frozen sections — approximately 5–10 per day (a resident may also cover frozens alongside the PAs)
• Handle increasing case complexity and volume over the assignment

Skills & Equipment

• LIS: Epic Beaker AP
• Equipment: Epic, Cryostat, bone saw, scalpels/knives
• Voice recognition program (preferred)

Schedule

• Day shift with start time of 07:30 or 08:00
• No weekend requirement
• No holiday requirement
• No call or standby call requirement

Additional details

• Hospital scrubs are provided
• Department‑specific orientation and training will be provided by current Pathologists' Assistants
