Pay

Pay package is based on 10-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia nursing care to adult and/or pediatric patients recovering from anesthesia
• Monitor vital signs, airway patency, and neurological status
• Manage pain and nausea control
• Assess and intervene for complications such as respiratory depression, hypotension, or emergence delirium
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and other team members to ensure safe and timely discharge
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care instructions

Requirements

• Active or eligible RN license in Iowa
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of two years of recent PACU nursing experience
• ACLS certification preferred
