Travel PACU RN - $2,179 per week

About the role

ARMStaffing is seeking a skilled PACU Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel contract in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. The PACU RN will provide exceptional care to patients recovering from surgical procedures, monitoring vitals, managing pain, and ensuring a smooth transition from surgery to recovery. Applicants should possess experience in a variety of surgical settings.

Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts with rotating days and nights (07:30–20:00 and 19:30–08:00), 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient status and administer care in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit.
• Provide immediate post-operative care, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Administer medications and manage pain relief effectively.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure effective patient recovery.
• Educate patients and their families about post-operative care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessment and care.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of PACU experience and 2 years of ICU experience required.
• MD state RN license is required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH certifications are mandatory.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills are essential.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
