About the role
Travel nurse RN PACU position in Morgantown, West Virginia. 13‑week assignment, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour day shifts, travel employment type.
Responsibilities
- Provide observation and care for post‑operative patients recovering from surgical anesthesia.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and report changes to the physician.
- Handle a broad range of patients from pediatrics to adults.
- Develop individualized care plans based on each patient’s condition.
- Determine when patients are recovered and ready to move to a room.
- Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
- Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; may need to lift up to 50 pounds when moving patients.
- Cope with stress in a fast‑paced environment and relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
Requirements
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
- 1–2 years of recent acute care experience (minimum 1 year).
- Additional certifications may be required before starting the assignment.
Skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
- Capable of lifting 20 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds for patient handling.
- Strong stress‑management and interpersonal skills for diverse patient populations.

Pay
Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
