Travel PACU RN - $1,646 per week

About the role

TotalMed is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU for a travel nursing job in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This is a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide observation and care for post-op patients as they recover from surgical anesthesia.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions between surgery and recovery.
• Handle a broad range of patients from pediatrics to adults.
• Develop individualized care plans based on each patient's condition.
• Monitor critical patients for condition changes and report to the physician.
• Determine when patients are recovered and ready to move to a room.

Requirements

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Ability to easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds at times.
• Good skills for coping with stress and ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
