Job Summary
The registered nurse (RN) will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and supervise individual patient care utilizing the nursing process. The RN is responsible for providing direction to co-workers and delegating role-appropriate tasks during care implementation, all in accordance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Education
- Completion of an accredited nursing program resulting in:
- Diploma in Nursing
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Licensure and Certification
- Valid nursing license to practice in the state of Ohio
- CPR certification required
Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of registered nursing experience preferred

Essential Job Functions
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for each patient according to the nursing process
- Provide quality care based on assessment needs and established care pathways
- Educate patients and families/significant others throughout the care and discharge process
- Document the nursing process/pathway accurately and concisely
- Communicate significant observations and changes in patient status to the physician
- Administer medications and perform treatments safely and accurately
- Execute physician orders as specified
- Ensure necessary equipment and supplies are available for patient care, reporting any malfunctions
Physical Requirements
- Heavy physical exertion, including the ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Frequently handling weights of 25 to 50 pounds
