Travel PACU Registered Nurse - $2,680 per week

About the role

PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Nurse in a rural outpatient surgical center in Windsor, Vermont. This role focuses on the admission, discharge, and post‑operative care of adult and geriatric surgical patients. The position requires strong assessment, IV, and patient education skills, with an emphasis on teamwork and multitasking in a fast‑paced outpatient environment.

Responsibilities

• Admit adult and geriatric surgical patients
• Discharge adult and geriatric surgical patients
• Provide post‑operative care for adult and geriatric surgical patients
• Prepare operating rooms for surgery, including pre‑operative assessments
• Step into the operating room to assist as needed

Requirements

• BLS (AHA) certification
• ACLS (AHA) certification
• Current RN license
• Experience with PACU
• Minimum 2 years of Same Day Surgery experience
• Must have own vehicle
• Willing to work in Windsor, Vermont

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in Same Day Surgery
• Experience working in a rural outpatient facility
• Admitting and discharge experience
• Phase I and II/PACU experience
• IV starts
• Cerner Electronic Medical Record experience
• Travel experience highly preferred
