Travel PACU Registered Nurse - $2,485 per week

A registered nurse specializing in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is needed at a healthcare facility in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. This position involves coordinating and providing comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care for surgical patients. The role requires working primarily during daytime shifts, with the potential for on-call participation, and involves supporting multiple perioperative processes to ensure optimal patient recovery and safety.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage post-anesthesia patients
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately
• Perform IV therapy, medication administration, airway management, pain management, and patient assessment

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited RN program
• Current Colorado RN license in good standing
• Current AHA BLS certification
• ACLS and PALS certifications as required by the department
• Previous travel nursing experience
• Previous Cerner Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience
• Relevant experience in Pre-Operative Nursing, PACU, perioperative settings, Emergency Department, or Intensive Care Unit
• No new graduates considered
• Must understand and accept that the surgical services department is closed on holidays, and hours may be reduced during holiday weeks

Schedule

• Weekday day shift, 8 hours per day
• Up to 40 hours per week, based on department operations
• Start date: 08/17/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks

Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
