This position involves coordinating and providing comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care for surgical patients. The role requires working primarily during daytime shifts, with the potential for on-call participation, and involves supporting multiple perioperative processes to ensure optimal patient recovery and safety. Job Details Position: Registered Nurse Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Location: Pagosa Springs, Colorado Shift: Weekday Day Shift, 8 hours per day Schedule: Up to 40 hours per week, based on department operations Start Date: 08/17/2026 Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited RN program; current Colorado RN license in good standing; current AHA BLS certification; ACLS and PALS certifications as required by the department; previous travel nursing experience; previous Cerner Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience; relevant experience in Pre-Operative Nursing, PACU, perioperative settings, Emergency Department, or Intensive Care Unit; ability to independently manage post-anesthesia patients, recognize changes in condition, and respond appropriately; strong skills in IV therapy, medication administration, airway management, pain management, and patient assessment; no new graduates considered; candidates without prior travel or Cerner EHR experience will not be considered. Additional Information: The surgical services department is closed on holidays, and hours may be reduced during holiday weeks. Candidates must understand and accept this scheduling requirement before submission.
