About the role

The facility in Espanola, New Mexico, is seeking a PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) travel nurse for a 13-week contract.

Responsibilities

  • Provide post-anesthesia care services under the supervision of a licensed practitioner.
  • Assist with patient recovery from anesthesia.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions and ensure their comfort.
  • Document all patient interactions and treatments accurately.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience as a registered nurse (RN).
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Perioperative Nursing Certification (PALS) certification.

Qualifications

  • Current licensure to practice as an RN in the state of New Mexico.
  • Passing scores on ACLS, BLS, and PALS exams.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of post-anesthesia care protocols.
