Schedule
Days shift, 10 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- CCC-SLP certification
- Alaska licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- Basic Life Support certification
- Outpatient pediatric and adult experience required
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the position location
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in outpatient rehabilitation services
- Proficiency in community outreach and home assessments
- Familiarity with telehealth modalities
Additional Information
- Position involves providing comprehensive speech and language therapy in various settings including outpatient clinics, community events, and home visits
- Occasional multi-day travel to remote areas via boat or small plane, potentially in harsh weather conditions
- The role includes collaboration with medical teams, patient and family education, and maintaining accurate documentation
- The incumbent will assist with program development, participate in educational activities, and utilize hospital systems for documentation and communication
- Good judgment, tact, and cultural sensitivity are essential for positive interactions with patients and staff
- Adherence to all regulatory standards of Speech-Language Pathology and confidentiality protocols is required
