About the role
The role involves evaluating speech, language, or swallowing difficulties, setting client goals, creating and implementing individualized treatment plans, and teaching clients how to make sounds, improve their voices, and maintain fluency.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate levels of speech, language, or swallowing difficulty.
- Identify clients' goals for treatment.
- Create and carry out an individualized treatment plan that addresses specific functional needs.
- Teach clients how to make sounds, improve their voices, and maintain fluency.
Requirements
- Current license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Kentucky.
- Experience working with adult populations.
- Knowledge of various communication disorders and treatment techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Passing score on the Praxis II exam or equivalent certification.
Skills
- Strong clinical skills.
