About the role
The role involves providing outpatient physical therapy assistance under the direction and supervision of physical therapists. This includes treating patients through various therapeutic interventions such as exercise, massage, gait and balance training.
Responsibilities
- Treat patients through exercise, massage, gait and balance training, and other therapeutic interventions.
- Record patients' progress and report the results of each treatment to the physical therapist.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA).
- Experience in outpatient physical therapy setting preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license.
- Passing score on the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE).
- Compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding physical therapy assistant practice.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of patient assessment and treatment planning.

Pay
The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
