Travel Outpatient Physical Therapist - $2,946 per week

About the role

This position involves delegating responsibilities to the Physical Therapist Assistant and Aides. The main focus is on patient care and includes various activities such as assessment, treatment planning, intervention, and evaluation in accordance with physical therapy standards and physician orders.

Responsibilities

• Patient Evaluation (20%): Assess patients' functions by conducting formal and informal testing measures to evaluate their skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular status.
• Treatment Planning (20%): Develop a goal-specific treatment regimen based on assessment data and the patient's ability to adhere to the treatment plan.
• Plan Submission (20%): Create a written treatment regimen to be included in the authorized plan of treatment, ensuring it is coordinated with the physician. Update the plan of care as necessary to reflect changes in patient status and co-sign verbal orders received from the physical therapist assistant as required.
• Scheduling (20%): Formulate a treatment schedule that specifies frequency and duration, and discuss it with the patient, family, or caregiver, coordinating with clinical support staff.
• Patient Education (20%): Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the pathology or condition, available treatment options, prognosis, and the rationale behind chosen interventions, including rest, exercise, modalities, and other appropriate measures.

Qualifications

• PT Experience Required
• Outpatient Experience Required
• Active Michigan Physical Therapist License
• Current Skills Checklist in Physical Therapy (within the last year)
• Two Supervisory Reference Forms completed within the last two years
• Active American Heart Association BLS Certification

Pay & schedule

• Start Date: 09/28/2026
• Duration: 10 weeks
• 40 hours per week
• Shift: 8 hours, days (07:00:00-15:00:00)
• 40 Hour Guarantee
• No Weekends
• Pay package based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined
