American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist for a day-shift assignment in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. This is a 10-week travel assignment starting November 9, 2026, at a 49-bed rural hospital providing outpatient rehabilitation services. The position requires outpatient PT experience and an active Michigan PT license.

Schedule

• Day shift, 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (9:00 AM to 5:30 PM)
• 40 hours per week
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Assignment length: 10 weeks
• Start date: November 9, 2026

Responsibilities

• Patient evaluation, treatment planning, and coordination of care with physicians and support staff
• Delegate responsibilities to Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides
• Educate patients and families on condition, treatment rationale, and prognosis
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans based on assessment data

Requirements

• Required PT experience
• Required outpatient experience
• Active BLS certification (AHA)
• Active Michigan PT license
• Skills checklist current within 1 year, pertinent to physical therapy
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility
• No more than 5 days of RTO can be requested
• Business casual dress code
• Epic EMR used at facility

Pay
