About the Role
American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in a hospital-based outpatient rehabilitation unit in Florence, South Carolina. This position requires a SC or Multistate Compact PT license and at least 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience.
- Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour days (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
- 40 hours per week
- No weekend or on-call requirements; holiday coverage may be required
- May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs or between like units/sister facilities
- Charting performed in Epic
- Free parking available on-site
- Pewter scrubs required
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience
- Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- SC or Multistate Compact Physical Therapist license
- Current BLS certification (AHA)
- SSN and Driver’s License required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years
- Outpatient clinic work setting experience
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
- Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the MUSC system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
Additional Information
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; RTO requests submitted after will not be accepted
- Pre-assignment modules are required and must be completed prior to the start of the contract
- During hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
