Details
- Hospital-based outpatient rehab unit located off the main hospital campus
- 5x8 schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
- Average patient load of 10 patients per day Monday through Thursday, and 5 patients on Fridays
- Sessions are scheduled every 45 minutes, including evaluations; occasional double-booking of 1-2 patients per day maximum to accommodate patient scheduling requests (Medicare patients are never double-booked)
- No weekend or on-call requirements; holiday coverage may be required
- May be required to float to other units or sister facilities within scope
- Charting performed in Epic
- Free parking available
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent outpatient physical therapy experience required
- Active SC Physical Therapist license or Multistate Compact PT license required at the start of the contract; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- Licenses required if applicable
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome, provided they have outpatient PT experience
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; non-local candidates are prioritized
- Previous permanent or PRN staff of this health system must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration; approval is subject to facility needs
- Pre-start online modules are required to be completed before the first day
- During hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties; peak months are August and September
- Charcoal gray scrubs required
- Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined
