Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient-focused assignment that also covers acute care settings including Med/Surg, ED, and Geriatric Behavioral Health.
Details
- Primarily based at an outpatient rehabilitation clinic, with float coverage to Med/Surg, ED, and Geriatric Behavioral Health units as needed
- Outpatient setting includes orthopedic, neurologic, geriatric, and general rehabilitation patient populations
- Preferred experience in outpatient clinic, rehabilitation hospital, and pediatric settings

- Current PT license required if applicable
- BLS certification required
- Proficiency in physical therapy assessment, treatment planning, and documentation including evaluations, plan of care, goals, reassessments, and discharge summaries
- Experience with acute care and outpatient clinic settings required
- Ability to work across multiple care settings and patient populations, including geriatric, neurologic, and orthopedic
- Strong time management and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
- One supervisory reference from within the past year required for consideration
- PA fingerprinting and Childline clearance must be completed prior to starting — candidates should be prepared to initiate this process promptly upon accepting the position

- PA fingerprinting must be completed in Pennsylvania; in rare cases, out-of-state locations may be available but options are very limited — candidates should plan accordingly
- Childline registration must also be completed as part of the credentialing process; detailed instructions will be provided by the credentialing team
- Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of signing the contract
- Any previous permanent employment at the affiliated health system must be disclosed; permanent or per diem employees must have been away for at least 18 months before returning as a traveler

- Interdisciplinary collaboration and patient/family education are key components of daily responsibilities
- Responsibilities include home exercise program development, safety and injury prevention, and recognition of signs of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse
Pay
Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
