Travel Outpatient Physical Therapist - $2,560 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Outpatient Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment starting November 2, 2026, in Blue Hill, Maine.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to patients in a variety of settings including post-orthopedic surgery, post-spinal surgeries, geriatrics, work injuries, and neurological imbalance.
• Assess patient needs and develop treatment plans that address their specific conditions and goals.
• Perform manual therapy techniques and prescribe exercises to improve patient mobility and strength.
• Provide patient education on the use of adaptive equipment such as walkers, canes, and crutches.
• Document patient progress in the electronic medical record system (EMR).
• Serve a rural community, treating a diverse range of patients with varying diagnoses.
• Work in a team environment, collaborating with other healthcare providers and staff members.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy.
• Current Maine Physical Therapy license.
• BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Experience with treating patients who have undergone orthopedic surgeries, spinal surgeries, and other related conditions.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload of patients.
• Proficiency with EMR systems such as Cerner PowerChart.
