About the role
The client in the Boston area of Massachusetts seeks a Physical Therapist for a 13-week contract/travel position. Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, providing therapeutic exercises, and collaborating with the care team.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' physical abilities, mobility, strength, balance, range of motion, and functional limitations
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and physician recommendations
- Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfer training, balance activities, and mobility interventions
- Help patients improve independence with walking, standing, transferring, and other daily functional activities
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on safe mobility techniques, exercises, fall prevention, and use of assistive devices
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge recommendations according to facility standards
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, case managers, and other care team members
- Support safe discharge planning and help patients achieve the highest possible level of function
Requirements
- Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Massachusetts
- Experience in outpatient physical therapy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of patient care protocols and safety guidelines
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Passing score on the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE)
- Current CPR certification

Pay
Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
