Travel Outpatient Physical Therapist - $2,415 per week

About the role

The client in the Boston area of Massachusetts seeks a Physical Therapist for a 13-week contract/travel position. Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, providing therapeutic exercises, and collaborating with the care team.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients' physical abilities, mobility, strength, balance, range of motion, and functional limitations
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and physician recommendations
  • Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfer training, balance activities, and mobility interventions
  • Help patients improve independence with walking, standing, transferring, and other daily functional activities
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on safe mobility techniques, exercises, fall prevention, and use of assistive devices
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge recommendations according to facility standards
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, case managers, and other care team members
  • Support safe discharge planning and help patients achieve the highest possible level of function

Requirements

  • Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Massachusetts
  • Experience in outpatient physical therapy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Knowledge of patient care protocols and safety guidelines

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • Passing score on the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE)
  • Current CPR certification

Pay

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
