About the Role
This position involves evaluating patients, developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans aligned with patient needs, goals, and physician directives. The role includes delegation of therapy services, designing functional treatment programs, and educating patients, families, students, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician directives.
- Delegates and directs all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
- Designs functional treatment programs to enable effective return to community activities.
- Serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and self.
- Performs other professional duties associated with patient care, development of discipline-specific therapy services, and design of program delivery.
- Completes comprehensive evaluations, utilizing clinical reasoning to develop treatment plans and goals focused on progressing patients toward discharge within an established length of stay.
- Maintains accurate and timely medical record documentation, including goal writing and functional assessments.
- Participates in student programs, providing supervision and development.
- Actively pursues professional growth through continuing education and involvement in professional organizations.
- Adheres to all applicable State Practice Acts and maintains licensure in good standing.
- Demonstrates understanding of performance improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.
- Demonstrates behaviors and attitudes consistent with the organization’s Mission Statement and Core Values.
- Upholds professional standards and professional codes of conduct; holds self and others accountable as appropriate.
Requirements
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
- CPR certification.
- Active and applicable state license for where work will be performed.
- 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
Schedule
- Days shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: 8 am – 5 pm.
- Tuesday and Thursday: 9 am – 6 pm.
- Assignment duration: September 7, 2026, to December 7, 2026.
