About the role

The physical therapist implements patient rehabilitation programs to help improve patient mobility, function, and strength. This role involves evaluating and treating patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs while ensuring a high standard of care is maintained in an outpatient setting in Stockton, CA.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients, utilizing Electronic Medical Records for documentation.
• Guide and monitor patient care, ensuring effective treatment and follow-up.
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides in patient care procedures.
• Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
• Ensure patient comfort and address any questions or concerns.
• Participate in business marketing and referral processes as needed.
• Comply with HIPAA policies and maintain patient privacy.
• Conduct billing processes, including proficiency in DX and ICD-10 coding.
• Be physically mobile to perform job responsibilities effectively.

Requirements

• Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of California or plans to obtain licensure shortly.
• Continuing education courses are preferred.

Pay

Pay package is based on 10-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Contract and local rates may vary based on location and applicant residency.
