About the role

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans based on individual needs, goals, and physician direction. This role involves the delegation and direction of therapy services, the design of functional treatment programs aimed at facilitating return to community activities, and acting as an educator for patients, families, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and establish patient-specific treatment plans and goals.
  • Ensure all care follows signed, valid physician orders and complies with insurance approvals.
  • Document patient care clearly, accurately, and timely in compliance with relevant guidelines.
  • Supervise and guide students as part of the student program, fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Engage in professional development and education through continuing education and organizational activities.
  • Maintain professional licensure and adhere to the ethical standards of practice.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.

Requirements

  • Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • CPR Certification.
  • Minimum of 6 months to 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience preferred.
  • Active Physical Therapist license in good standing.

Pay

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

This is a 5x8 hour work schedule, with 60-minute evaluations followed by 30-minute follow-ups.
