About the role

This is a 13-week contract position for an Outpatient Physical Therapist. The schedule is a 5x8.0 schedule, totaling 40 hours per week. The therapist evaluates assigned patients, develops and implements individualized treatment plans, and modifies them according to patient needs, goals, and physician direction. This role includes delegating and directing therapy services to facilitate a safe return to community activities, serving as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers, and adhering to the organization’s Mission Statement and Core Values.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Document care in compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Ensure all care is delivered under valid physician orders and within insurance parameters.
• Supervise and mentor students within the therapy program.
• Engage in professional development through continuing education and self-study.
• Maintain compliance with the discipline-specific State Practice Act and continuing education requirements.
• Participate in organizational performance improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.
• Promote patient and employee safety in accordance with established safety protocols.

Requirements

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Active CPR certification.
• Current and valid State Physical Therapist licensure.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
