Travel Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist - $1,834 per week

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Orthopedics Physical Therapist with 1+ years of experience and current Maryland PT licensure for a 13-week assignment in Frederick, Maryland.

About the role

This is a travel position in an outpatient orthopedic clinic setting. The caseload includes post-operative orthopedic patients, total joint replacements, neck and back pain, spine rehabilitation, manual therapy patients, sports injuries, and general musculoskeletal conditions.

Clinic hours are Monday-Friday, 7am-7pm, with a typical schedule including 2 late shifts (10:30am-7pm) and 2 early shifts (7am-3:30pm) per week. The clinic closes at 5pm on Fridays. The schedule may also include 8:30am-5pm shifts.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat orthopedic patients with individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
• Deliver one-on-one patient care utilizing manual therapy techniques when appropriate
• Educate patients and families on treatment and recovery
• Document patient care using EMR
• Collaborate with an experienced rehabilitation team
• Participate in community outreach and wellness initiatives

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program
• Maryland Physical Therapy license required
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred
• Manual therapy experience preferred

Schedule

• 13-week assignment starting 08/24/2026
• 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts during the day
