Opportunity
- See approximately 12 patients per day
- Treat patients across age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- May float to Mission Bay, Mount Zion, or Bayfront facilities
- Minimum 3 years of experience required
- Hand clinic experience preferred
- Adult outpatient experience preferred
- Teaching hospital experience required
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
- PREFERRED certifications: CHT (Certified Hand Therapist), AOTA Hand/Upper Extremity Certification
- MS/MA Degree preferred
- California OT License required
- Charting in Epic required
- Treat diagnoses including post-op orthopedic aftercare, acute fractures of hand/wrist/elbow, flexor and extensor tendon injuries and repairs, brachial plexus injuries, peripheral nerve injuries of the upper extremity, CMC arthritis, cubital/carpal/radial tunnel syndrome, and degloving injuries
- Perform skills including fabrication of custom orthoses for post-op and acute fracture care, therapeutic exercise programs, manual therapy, orthotics training and management, and modalities including ultrasound, TENS, and biofeedback
- Work with specialized equipment for custom orthosis fabrication and modality delivery
